Learn to ride while having fun

Acres Wild Riding School caters for young riders aged 5+, emphasising safety, fun and creating the foundations for aspiring riders of any discipline.

The riding school differs from many in that it's hands on from start to finish, with young riders taught how to catch, groom and feed their ponies right from the get go. This helps them develop confidence and practical skills, essential to having good, safe fun while they learn to ride.

Children are matched to ponies to complement their abilities, whether they are complete novices, or riders aspiring to learn to jump.

Owner/Instructor Janine Emerson is now teaching second generation riders in Hawkes Bay, having taught youngsters' mums to ride too.

Based in Paki Paki, Hastings, riding lessons are available after school Tuesday to Friday, and Saturdays from 9.30am to 12 noon. The ponies rest on Sunday and Monday.
